Tesla stops sales of its cheapest Model 3 in the U.S. due to U.S. sanctions
The standard rear-wheel drive version of Tesla, which used to be available for $39,000, used LFP batteries produced in China. Recently, the U.S. imposed sanctions and increased tariffs — the cost of the car soared so much that Elon Musk decided it would be easier to stop selling them altogether.
