For the first time in the 21st century, Britain is canceling winter benefits for pensioners – 11 million low-income Britons will lose fuel discounts and rebates during the winter season.

This measure will save £1.4 billion. Overall, Britain needs to save £21.9 billion, which is the exact deficit faced by the government.
