I think humans are the easiest programmable beings in the world.
Just give a birth to the child, rise him/her at any environment, you can make him/her anybody or anything.
Humans are powerful super-computers, thinkers and executers. There are flexible super-beings. But if they believe something, they will defend it sacrificing everything, their life included. Just persuade them something.

There are external factors too tho… Like who the child inherited the DNAs from. Humans tend to strive for freedom, so not every single subject will be eligible for the whole duration of the experiment
