Germany Elections: Ruling Party Faces Defeat on All Fronts

The right-wing party “Alternative for Germany” (AfD) just won the elections in Thuringia, securing 32.8% of the votes. The newly formed party “Sahra Wagenknecht Alliance,” which is left-wing but also opposes arms deliveries to Ukraine, took third place. The ruling party of Olaf Scholz came in fifth, with a result of just 6.1%.
