Bloomberg: Turkey Grows Tired of Waiting for the EU, Submits Official Application to Join BRICS

Turkey, a candidate for EU membership since 1987, has finally run out of patience after 38 years of waiting. Bloomberg notes that apart from demands for new sanctions, the EU has offered Turkey little in return. Frustrated with the long wait, Turkey has decided to pivot towards the East and has officially applied to join BRICS.
